Miss Sissy Sculpture

This steel sculpture from the Nature mini-series depicts a small chicken with striking minimalism and attention to detail. The body is rendered with a series of 1mm-thick cylinders, reducing the animal to its basic forms: the thin cylindrical legs support and flow into the cylindrical body with decisive cuts for wings, and end in the head with delicate details for the beak, eyes, and comb. The red color is the artist's custom blend applied with a brush in several layers and subsequently sanded and polished to obtain a unique finish.
