Hoopoe Decorative Plate #1

The plate is crafted on a lathe using white clay and depicts a hoopoe bird with its distinctive "crown" of feathers. Using the ingobbio (englobe) technique, the glaze sets on the ceramic surface after the second firing in the kiln at 930°C, making the red color all the more vibrant and defining to the hand-painted design.
