Carola fra i Trulli is an Italian brand of niche home fragrances and decorative objects for the home. Founded in 2021 by Carola Altamura, a Milanese architect with deep emotional roots in Puglia, it is the poetic olfactory tale of the Itria Valley, its native flora and traditional artistic techniques. Carola fra i Trulli is a strongly synesthetic brand that combines the senses of sight and smell. The aim of the brand is to give a tangible aspect, through form and colour, to the intangibility of perfume. The 'macchiato', the traditional Apulian technique and spontaneous craftsmanship, is chosen by Carola as the brand's emblem to interpret its founding values: the joyful imperfection and lightness of nature. The Home Fragrance Collection is a tribute to the olfactory memories of Carola's childhood in the garden of her family home in Puglia through eight luminous botanical fragrances designed as an ode to the Mediterranean joie de vivre. In 2024, the brand presents 'La Casa Incantata', the first Lifestyle Collection where the fragrances are the setting for new olfactory objects and exclusive textile inserts made by a historic Apulian weaving mill according to ancient traditional techniques, including a plaid made using the precious yarn of the indigenous Italian wool variety 'Gentile di Puglia'. The brand has a strong focus on sustainable choices such as thoughtful design, honest materials and a conscious approach to minimise the impact on the environment. The products are entirely handmade in Italy by selected artisans using high-quality materials to promote the qualified local supply chain while respecting people, history and nature.
