Arcucci Handmade

Toscana, Italy | Ceramist

Editor's Picks

Handmade in Italy, Toscana

Founded in 1981 by Giuseppe Arcucci, after a decade at the helm of a major industrial group, Arcucci Trade was established with the goal of distributing international brands in Italy, making use of a solid sales organization and cutting-edge marketing strategies. With the entry of his children Cristiano and Simona in the 1990s, the company gained new energy and strengthened its market position.

In 2010, in response to the global economic crisis, Giuseppe Arcucci flanks the commercial division with a manufacturing reality, investing in Italian manufactures and relaunching Made in Italy under the “Arcucci” and “Arcucci Home” brands. The company thus gains a prominent role at the national and international level.

Arcucci ceramics stem from a long tradition of craftsmanship, rooted in Mediterranean culture. The wares, fired at very high temperatures, are distinguished by their brilliance, chromatic richness and strength: ideal for everyday use, they are dishwasher-safe and microwave-safe.

Among the top collections is Poseidon, inspired by Vietri decorations and characterized by irregular shapes, marine hues and generous sizes. Each piece is made and decorated by hand with brilliant glazes and native minerals, through traditional techniques such as pressing, casting and turning, followed by double firing at up to 1100 °C.

Equally iconic is Preta Oro, a “casual-chic” collection finished with real gold (8 percent) edge and dishwasher-safe. The warm, vibrant colors come from a combination of hand-decorating and glazes rich in natural oxides.

In addition to design and quality, Arcucci Trade promotes local craftsmanship and adopts environmentally sustainable production practices. The use of selected materials, environmentally friendly processes and the desire to preserve Italian savoir-faire reflect the company's commitment to combining aesthetics, functionality and social responsibility.
