Giovanni Motta

Giovanni Motta

Veneto, Italy

Born in Verona into a family of artists, Giovanni Motta works in his hometown as a sculptor and painter whose complex technique is based on the study of form and impact of color. His poetic works are influenced by Japanese culture and Western fantasy literature: the futuristic imagination of Go Nagai’s cartoons and Hayao Miyazaki’s films merges with classics such as The Little Prince, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, and Peter Pan to create an emotional universe that reflects on memory, populated by magic creatures and monsters.
