Matteo Cibic was born in Parma, Italy, in 1983. After graduating, he moved to his uncle’s home in Milan and enrolled in Politecnico of Milano, where he got an Industrial Design degree while working full time at Cibic&Partners, with his well-known uncle, Aldo Cibic. In Milan he began to collaborate with other young artists and in 2006 he founded his own creative company ‘Matteo Cibic Studio’ based in Milan and Vicenza. Since then he works with his team of designers to develop pieces and creative ideas not only for private collectors, but international companies as well. Their objects have been included in several temporary and permanent exhibitions worldwide at institutions such as the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Shanghai Glass Museum while he has been the creative mind behind the development of products for international brands such as Beck’s, Benetton Group (Fabrica) and Nespresso. Over time, his creations continued reflecting interesting themes and ideas, like those collaboration with Mutaforma among many others.
