Masterfully handcrafted starting from a raw clay block, artist ceramist Claudia Frignani gives life to a true work of art through the “colombino” technique, whereby the inverted conical shape is enriched with a densely arranged, relief scale pattern creating a three-dimensional effect. Part of the Artemisia Collection inspired by the natural world, this vase boasts a sophisticated celadon hue with a lustrous glazed finish obtained by firing the object twice. Each vase is signed and numbered. Slight variations in size, shape, and finish are the mark of a singularly handcrafted piece.

Atelier Taftique
Toscana, Italy | Artist
A contemporary take on the timeless tradition, Atelier Taftique is the Florence-based studio of Dutch artist Jules Vissers where she designs and creates hand-tufted and embroidered tapestries using personally selected high-quality Italian yarns. Taking part in art and design events such as the Milan Design Week, Dubai Design Week, and Florence Biennale, her oeuvres are like paintings: “To me, my yarns are like my painting colors. With this manual technique, I can make specific scenes and patterns come to life”.Discover more
