Casarialto Atelier Astra Cushion by Marta Cucchia

Composed of two bands realized with 19th-century jacquard looms, it features a griffin motif and the phrase by Seneca “Astra ad Aspera”, handmade by Marta Cucchia. The center is enriched with a jacquard band made of fiber optics and lurex that reinterprets the original pomegranate motif by Atelier Brozzetti. Optical fibers, as thin as an angel’s hair, are tied together and connected to an LED light of 0.1W, powered by a rechargeable USB battery. When in dim light, the effect is strong and clear.
