Book in Paper and Leather

This exquisite book was crafted by hand and covered with handmade paper that was decorated with the marbling technique and given a "pavoni" pattern, which creates sinuous shapes upon the paper, reminiscent of the curves and iridescent hues of a peacock's tail. Here the color combination of pale blue, delicate pink, and vivid yellow complements the brown leather of the spine with raised bands.
