Jewelry Holder in Burnished Gold Leaf

This exquisite pyramid features a star shape when viewed from above and a stepped construction which tapers gradually from bottom to top. This piece is perfect for storing small objects like jewelry. The structure was crafted in extruded polyurethane and then given a stucco finish creating an alluring texture. The piece was then hand-gilded in pure gold leaf and burnished with bitumen wax. The final step is a transparent epoxy resin coating sealing the layers together, preserving them, and causing a subtle shine.
