Maya Bronze Sculpture

A magnificent piece of refined allure, this sculpture merges feelings of solitude, freedom, and peace in a female resting body. Exquisitely crafted of bronze using the ancient method of lost wax, the lying figure is wrapped up with copper wire around her waist, hands, and head, enhancing significant parts of the body. The figure is leaning on a piece of wood, that was picked up on a Tuscan beach after a coastal storm, firmly mounted on a thin iron base.
