This stunning sculpture is a modern interpretation of the sacred family of Nazareth, and a symbol of family sanctity, renewal and beginning of a new life cycle. Entirely crafted by hand of terracotta with a green enamel glaze using the coiling technique, the three figures - Jesus, the Virgin, and Joseph - seem suspended in their adoring stance created by layering and intertwining coils of soft clay. The curves traced by the ribbons of ceramic seem to defy the fragile nature of the piece, evoking metaphorically a sense of strength. A timeless piece of art that will stand out in any decor.
