OF 201 Il Guastafeste Stellare Round Painting

OS 201 Il Guastafeste Stellare (stellar spoilsport), is born from the meeting of astronomical research and cosmological imagination. Inspired by the enigmatic trans-Neptunian object 2017 OF201, it interprets a celestial body that seems to escape the known rules of the outer Solar System. Hand-made in Italy as a unique work, it is layered on wood with aluminum jigs, epoxy resin, metallic pigments, rare earths, micaceous materials and reflective inclusions with a crystalline effect, whose spontaneous reactions create textures and depths impossible to replicate. Incandescent surfaces, deep reds and sudden openings of blue evoke a remote, anomalous world suspended between ice, fire and cosmic darkness. Original works inspired by the same theme are available upon request in varying dimensions. Given the nature of the medium and the handcrafted technique, each piece is to be considered unique.
