Planet Nine Round Painting

Planet Nine draws on the hypothesis of a mysterious ninth planet at the edge of the Solar System, exploring the allure of the invisible. Hand-made in Italy as a unique work, it is composed in mixed media on a professional wood support: silk, epoxy resin and structured resin are shaped with aluminum jigs and finished with professional pigments and lacquers drawn from the automotive and furnishing industries. The interaction of textile, resin and structured surfaces produces spontaneous effects that make an identical replica impossible. Deep grounds, metallic reflections and partly veiled zones turn the veil into a metaphor for knowledge: what we cannot yet see still leaves traces. Original works inspired by the same theme are available upon request in varying dimensions. Given the nature of the medium and the handcrafted technique, each piece is to be considered unique.
