Branched Snail sculpture

Made by sculpting fine boxwood roots, this snail with a branched shell is the result of a hypothetical metamorphosis between the plant kingdom and the animal kingdom. Carved using traditional techniques, the vision was suggested by the natural shapes of the piece.
