Cre-Art was founded in 1968 in Empoli, near Florence, a region with a long tradition of artistic glass and crystal production dating back to the 14th century and further developed in the 18th century.

The meeting of the founding partners brought together expertise in commerce and craftsmanship, combining glasswork, metal casting, and master engraving skills. This synergy led to the creation of classic-style collections for tableware and home décor. In a few years, their success—initially in Italy—expanded internationally thanks to participation in major trade fairs, leading to the need for a larger production facility of about 4,000 square meters, where the company is still based today. The workshop is equipped for the decoration and engraving of 24% lead crystal and assembly with 24-karat gold-plated bronze.

The collections are inspired by decorative objects used in the most luxurious Italian, French, and English residences of the 18th and 19th centuries.

In the early 1990s, the founders’ children joined the company. While maintaining the same materials and passion, they strengthened the commercial structure and developed contemporary product lines. The vision was to create refined table settings for both special occasions and informal gatherings.

The company’s mission is to design, produce, and distribute high-quality Italian artisanal products for tableware and home décor, characterized by transparency and light effects entirely crafted by Florentine artisans. A strong commitment is also placed on preserving traditional handcraft techniques, including bespoke creations upon request, always respecting the environment and nature.

Today, Cre-Art exports worldwide and is recognized as a reliable company with a solid international clientele.
