Bringing their craftsmanship from a small town in the Sicilian hinterland to the whole world

In 1997 the adventure of Antonio and Giuseppe Bevilacqua was born. Betting on themselves, accompanied by a pinch of madness and a lot of tenacity, they decided to give life to a ceramic craft workshop. A small workshop in the historic center of Campofranco where Antonio and Giuseppe begin to create objects that tell of their history, the tradition of Sicilian ceramics and their territory.

Each shaped object is a small work of art. Unique and unrepeatable. Entirely handmade, from the working of the clay to its modeling to the decorating and firing each object comes to life from the skilled hands of the Bevilacqua brothers. Materials such as clay, water, pigments, reliability and passion are used for the products: this is how a Bevilacqua product is born.

The millennial tradition of Sicilian ceramics, design, craftsmanship and innovation are mixed giving life to products, entirely made in Sicily, in which each piece has the flavor of exclusivity. Culture of the material, knowledge of production techniques, decoration and firing, make Bevilacqua objects products of the highest quality. Each object is an expression of unique and exclusive design capable of interpreting the taste of tradition while winking at the future. Moorhead, poufs, pine cones, from furnishing complements become exclusive works of art.

We are aware that we are an 'energy-intensive company: our production requires large amounts of energy for double or triple firing of ceramics. The first step we took to reduce our environmental impact was to decommission our gas kilns and purchase, with a challenging investment, new electric kilns with a view to powering them with energy we can produce. At this point, we have quantified consumption and begun the procedures to install a photovoltaic system that, when fully operational, will cover our needs in full. After all, in Sicily we do not lack sunshine! In addition, we have re-designed our packaging, 95% of our packaging is certified cardboard, we no longer use pvc or similar packaging, and we have minimized the use of plastic.
