The connection to his homeland, a small Italian region squeezed between the mountains and the sea,has influenced her research and the main themes of her thinking: the karst lands of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the shallow and sandy lagoons of the Adriatic Sea, the clear skies of the Alps.

Mara is also a citizen of the world and an international artist, every journey a source of inspiration: the great American and Asian cities as well as the desert expanses of Africa, the sinuous courses of rivers, the beaches of crystal-clear, cold seas and the beauty of her native Italy.

A sensitive and delicate artist, but at the same time strong and courageous, she often deals with themes related to the precarious balance between man and his habitat.

Her technique is original and unique, the result of long experimentation, the material is of her own invention and the working tools are multiple. Mara creates several patterns and textures that give shape to various series of pictures, abstract, geometric and figurative.

Nature is the protagonist in the organicity of the mixture and in the choice of colour pigments. Fascinated by beauty and in search of balance, she creates evocative and exciting settings in her compositions.
