Established in the 1930s by Ernesto Spini in the heart of Florence, this eponymous brand embodies traditional Florentine hand-craftsmanship. Ernesto began his career as a sculptor and later specialized in woodcarving, two mediums that remain the specialty of this family-run business, now at its third generation. In the workshop in Scandicci, by Florence, Spini’s creatives and artisans constantly experiment while also maintaining a strong link with the past, making high-quality home décor and furniture pieces.

The wood carving and gilding activity conducted by Ernesto Spini is a keystone in the history of Florentine craftsmanship. In the Thirties Ernesto opened his own wood carving shop in via del Campuccio, located in San Frediano, the artisans’ quarter of Florence. He started hand carving doors, furniture and in particular wood frames.

In the Sixties Ernesto’s son Sergio joined the atelier bringing significant stylistic innovations, designs and finishes.
The unique finishes, like the aged and oxidized real silver, the antique gold with the “clay patina” or the aged copper leaf made SPINI famous worldwide.

Today Barbara and Luca SPINI are still using the same traditional skills to manufacture the exclusive, handmade mirror frames, tables, headboards and cabinets.
The Modern Collection was introduced by Barbara and Luca in the Eighties as well as the customization service.

Uniqueness constitutes the design code: the interpretation of the house proposed by Spini Interni thus goes beyond the stylistic discourse to open up to the most varied customizations, proposing a concrete alternative to the homologation of the environments.
