The Concept

Rockwell Group reimagines The Dining Room through the lens of Naples, a city defined by striking contrasts—raw and refined, sacred and profane, exuberant and theatrical. Set within the oval room of Palazzo Donizetti, the space preserves grandeur while transforming it into a charged, performative setting shaped by placement, inversion, and ritual. Inspired by the Pompeian triclinium, where reclining replaced sitting and dining became a collective experience between leisure and performance, the room features sculptural seating, daybeds, poufs, and nesting tables that invite guests to recline, linger, and engage. Gold-toned metals, warm marbles, mineral hues, and oceanic blues evoke Naples’ volcanic spirit, creating a space poised between order and improvisation, realism and surrealism.
