Luxurious Puglia Retreat: Borgo Egnazia
Live a breathing tale of Puglia, spoken by the ancient culture of the land and by the sheer beauty of the unique architecture of Borgo Egnazia, in Savelletri di Fasano, a luxurious citadel where to relax and enjoy the true essence of Italian Beauty.

The beautiful Borgo Egnazia Hotel, located in Savelletri di Fasano, Puglia, where the hills of the Itria Valley gently fall in the Adriatic sea, is considered one of the most charming hotels of Italy. The property itself is inspired by the shapes, materials and colors of a typical Apulian village. This authenticity was conceived to bring a fresh and original feel that is found 'nowhere else', alongside impeccable service. A miniature world of homemade breakfasts prepared by Apulian "Massaie" , a revolutionary spa, two beautiful private beaches and the scenic San Domenico Golf surrounded by ancient olive trees with views that stretch to the sea. And then there's the service; tailored, friendly and caring, a dedicated team always available to guests, and the delicious gourmet menu crafted by Domenico Schingaro and finally, there is the incomparable beauty of the Apulian countryside.

Opened in 2010 from the visionary project of Pino Brescia, a local designer who brought to life a concept created by the Melpignano family, Borgo Egnazia is a tribute to traditional architecture which incorporates materials (local stone and hand-cut "tufo" stone), and features such as small windows and porches typical of the region. Borgo Egnazia is divided into three places to stay: La Corte, the traditional main building, with 63 room; The Borgo, the heart of the property with its entrance arches, narrow streets with Apulian names, the bustling square, fountains and the iconic clock tower, and 92 "casette" (townhouses); and finally there are 27 villas with private gardens and pools that are perfect for families and for those who want absolute privacy.

Borgo Egnazia's gastronomic offers are also inspired by local tradition, divided into six restaurants. All six serve dishes linked by their local Apulian heritage, created by Executive Chef Domingo Schingaro under the supervision of consultant turned Michelin star chef Andrea Ribaldone. Dishes are made with the best locally-sourced ingredients; simple ingredients are transformed in a surprising way in the menu of Due Camini Michelin-starred restaurant. Apulian cookery lessons are held alongside 'Mimina's Dinners', where the cook from the Melpignano's family home prepares dishes in front of guests, teaching classic recipes such as "orecchiette with cime di rapa" (or turnip tops), as well as meatballs in tomato sauce.
Vair means 'true' in Apulian dialect, and it is this 'true wellbeing' that is found at Vair Spa, a temple dedicated to the care of body and soul set within 2,000 sqm in Borgo Egnazia. All of the Vair spa experiences have names in dialect, strengthening their intimate connection with Apulian tradition.
