The Arcahorn brand, registered in 2013, evolved from ARCA, a Marche-based company founded in 1958 by Mario Guerra and known for its craftsmanship in working with Zebu horn. What did the creation of the Arcahorn brand represent in the history of your artisan production?
The launch of Arcahorn marked a pivotal turning point for us. We wanted the name itself to highlight our specialization in working with such a rare and fascinating material as Zebu horn—something that would immediately spark curiosity and interest. Alongside this rebranding, we deepened our focus on design, introducing signature furniture pieces that remain bestsellers today. In essence, the transition to Arcahorn wasn’t just a brand update—it was a true evolution of our craft and offerings, combining tradition, innovation, and a refined contemporary style.

Arcahorn is guided by a corporate ethic rooted in local, low-impact production. Can you walk us through the process of crafting a product made from Zebu horn?
Arcahorn’s production process is a delicate balance of artisanal tradition and sustainable practices. Every piece begins with a series of manual processes that vary depending on the product, but all start with a crucial first step: the careful selection of raw materials. Each Zebu horn is evaluated based on size, color, and quality to ensure it meets the highest aesthetic and functional standards.
Once selected, the horn is cut and shaped using heat. Depending on the desired outcome, molds may be used to define the form or create decorative inlays. The next steps—gluing, sanding, and lacquering—require exceptional skill and meticulous attention to detail.
Each Arcahorn creation is entirely unique, the result of time, dedication, and artisanal knowledge passed down through generations. Sustainability is at the core of our values: all of our suppliers are located within a few kilometers of our headquarters, significantly reducing emissions and environmental impact from transportation. Moreover, every stage of our production complies with strict environmental regulations, reinforcing Arcahorn’s commitment to a responsible, place-based approach to craftsmanship.

Arcahorn’s products are synonymous with elegance and sophistication. How do you manage to weave tradition and innovation into each piece, consistently balancing heritage and modernity?
We’re proud to say that our production remains entirely handcrafted—no industrial machinery is involved. Every Arcahorn piece comes to life through the expert hands of our artisans. Over the years, we’ve refined the traditional techniques handed down from generation to generation, a true legacy of the Recanati region, long renowned for its artistic hornworking.
At the same time, we are keenly attuned to contemporary trends and innovation, constantly reinterpreting styles and designs while staying true to the identity that defines us. This delicate balance between past and present is what makes our creations so versatile—perfectly at home in classical, modern, or eclectic interiors, always with an air of refined contemporary elegance.
