My Home started as a project to create a unique design and brand-new, contemporary style by tapping into fashion, abstract painting, and photography. What are the origins of the brand, and how has it evolved over time?

My Home is a furniture and home accessories brand with a specific focus on and flair for creating upholstered pieces. Throughout its history, the brand has centered its mission on the evolution of modern living, carefully examining shifts and habits in the home. Particularly over the last three years, My Home has developed exceptional, even revolutionary, designs that address new applications and needs while still prioritizing functionality, innovation, and aesthetic appeal. This is most evident in the Bordone Collection.

One of My Home's core values is unquestionably the concept of Made in Italy. What is the link between the brand and its territory, and what importance do Italian quality and craftsmanship have for you?

Serena Confalonieri, Federica Biasi, Elena Salmistraro, Angeletti Ruzza, and Giulio Iacchetti are just some of the big names in the contemporary design space who have collaborated with you to create furniture marked by a singular style. How does this collaborative process between your brand and the designer begin, and how does it evolve?

It was a natural choice to leverage these designers’ sensitivity and unique voices to convey different environments, emotions, and moments of introspection. Their ability to capture singular moments of everyday life and re-create intimate ambiances allows them to interpret the many aspects of contemporaneity.

Tell us about one of your favorite experiences.

Undoubtedly, the creation of the Bordone Collection stands out as the most significant experience. During a delicate and unprecedented time, marked by the global lockdown in March 2020 due to COVID-19, we felt an urgent need to create something fresh and surprising that could lift our spirits. Bordone emerged from a profound desire to introduce something novel and distinct from existing offerings on the market. We wholeheartedly embraced the vision put forth by Silvana Angeletti and Daniele Ruzza; its strength, originality, and uniqueness resonated with us. We promptly embarked on developing the project, which demanded considerable time and dedication. It also presented surprises along the way. We were energized and enjoyed every moment of the process. We utilized all the skills we had honed over the years, leading to the creation of a modular sofa system featuring 360° rotating ends. This product represented a truly innovative addition to the market, gaining immediate recognition for its originality and securing a patent for its engineering value.
