Cerasarda

Founded in Olbia in the 1960s by Prince Karim Aga Khan, Cerasarda began as an art manufacturer serving a dream: to give shape, colour and substance to the Costa Smeralda, one of the most iconic destinations in the Mediterranean.

Since its inception, Cerasarda ceramics have been part of an architectural and cultural project that combines landscape, design and craftsmanship, enhancing the authentic beauty of Sardinia.

The manufacturer has created coverings and furnishings for villas, hotels and iconic spaces on the Costa Smeralda, collaborating with architects such as Luigi Vietti and Michele Busiri Vici.

Inspired by the colours of the Mediterranean scrub and the light of the sea, Cerasarda has created a unique ceramic language, made up of bright glazes, scratched decorations and handcrafted finishes, a sign of authenticity and artisan savoir-faire.

Under the artistic direction of French master Robert Piccaut, a friend and collaborator of Pablo Picasso, and later Charles Mourot, the company developed a recognisable style: a harmonious fusion of local craftsmanship and international sensibility.

Since 2002, Cerasarda has been part of the Romani Group, which supports its technological growth and international expansion without altering its artisan identity. The collections express a balance between tradition and innovation, embodying the warmth of the Mediterranean and the refinement of Italian design.
