Corpoluce

Founded by artisan lampshade maker Giammarco Capanna and designer Ambra Barbarossa, CorpoLuce is an Italian atelier dedicated to the creation of bespoke lighting and decorative objects. Rooted in the artisanal culture of Abruzzo, the company combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design research, transforming light into a narrative and emotional element within a space. For over a decade, CorpoLuce has developed custom-made pieces for private residences, hospitality projects and collectors, embracing a production approach based on attention to detail, experimentation and the uniqueness of every object. Each creation is handcrafted in the atelier, where techniques traditionally associated with textile craftsmanship are reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. Fabric selection plays a central role in the design process, with materials chosen not only for their aesthetic qualities but also for their ability to filter, diffuse and shape light. Alongside natural textiles, CorpoLuce explores innovative materials such as coloured translucent PVCs. These surfaces interact dynamically with illumination, generating layered reflections, chromatic variations and ever-changing visual effects. Light becomes an active component of the object, continuously transforming its appearance according to perspective and environment. Among the collections available on Artemest, Totem embodies the brand’s design philosophy. Inspired by symbolic and ritualistic forms found across different cultures, Totem reinterprets the idea of the ceremonial object through a contemporary language. Its vertical modular composition, enriched by textiles, trims and handcrafted details, creates a sculptural presence where decoration, materiality and light coexist. Each piece is produced in limited quantities and can be customized, reflecting CorpoLuce’s commitment to individuality, craftsmanship and expressive design.
