A visual artist, designer, and artisan from Rome, Cristiana Vignatelli Bruni has exhibited her works in renowned art galleries and museums in Italy, the Netherlands, and South Korea. Based in the idyllic Roman countryside, her work is interdisciplinary and is rooted in an unconventional definition of luxury, wherein art is present in everyday life in playful ways. Vignatelli Bruni creatively experiments with shapes and colors that do not conform to mainstream beauty standards to awaken our senses, brighten our relationships, and turn a simple gesture into something special.
CVBStudio creations tickle the senses, transforming daily rituals into precious moments. Each piece stems from an Alchemy of Making, bringing new stories to tell.
Cristiana Vignatelli Bruni, founder of CVB Studio, continues the legacy of Italian ceramic craftsmanship, blending traditional techniques with a contemporary, experimental approach. Specializing in porcelain and stoneware, her work is created with different techniques, whether handbuilt or wheel-thrown, each piece is carefully crafted to explore unique forms and textures. Glazes and colors are created by the artist from the blend of raw minerals, giving birth to distinctive colors and finishes.
At CVB Studio, the idea of “rebel luxury” guides the creation of art that seamlessly integrates into everyday life. Shapes are often dictated by the behavior of the materials used, resulting in sculptural designs for home décor and functional art objects.
Cristiana's work exists at the intersection of craft, design, and contemporary art, where these disciplines cross-pollinate. Her approach is rooted in an alchemical vision of the earth and materials, with a constant drive to explore new possibilities using minerals, pigments, and processes. The goal is to explore forms that irradiate with serenity the inhabited space or excite it with nuances and textures, always enhancing the affective power of everyday
objects.
The love for experimenting with shapes and techniques reflects in the porcelain "Cartouche" collection. By casting porcelain onto a paper mold, impressions remain, creating a sugar-like texture that provides a unique tactile experience. Each piece is individually crafted, functioning as a small sculpture, ensuring no two pieces are alike.
