IJO Design

Deriving its name from the word “sun” in Griko, the ancient language of Magna Grecia, IJO Design is a textile atelier with a significant presence in the growing sustainable luxury sector. Founded in 2001 by Annalisa Surace, its mission is to reclaim century-old crafts and connect with the “genius loci”. Fabric is the brand’s true protagonist: each fiber is handwoven on ancient olivewood looms in a small workshop in Apulia, sewn into unique creations of architectural inspiration without a sartorial cut, leaving exposed selvages deliberately unfinished for a raw aesthetic.
