His decades of home furnishing and lighting experience give him extreme proficiency in various media like glass, marble, wood, and ceramics.

Silvio was born and raised in Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance.

Before establishing Silvio Piattelli Design he collaborated with several leading lighting and home decor luxury brands. His ,first solo collection, the Alchemist, featured a breakthrough use of glass and metals to diffuse light to produce stunning reflections and retractions.

Inspired by the work of the mid-modernist movement, he balances technical know-how, the best Italian artistry, and his passion for glass to create pieces that fuse contemporary design and innovative technology with materials of the highest quality, meticulously produced with the finest processing methods.
