Suspended within the ancient walls of Orvieto, one of the prettiest Medieval hamlets in middle Italy, lies a place in which every moment is a memory to cherish. A stone’s throw away from the Cathedral, the sacred heart of the village, one finds magnificent Palazzo Petrvs. This aristocratic palace houses 9 rooms, each has been painstakingly refurbished with the goal of retracing the footsteps of a remote past, but in a modern key. Here, a magical atmosphere is brought to life thanks to the integration of contemporary details into the original architectural environments.
As you cross the palace’s threshold and enter the cozy courtyard, adorned with an Italian-style fountain, you will immediately feel to be part of a journey back in history. Marvelous Orvieto, where every corner and cobblestone narrate a silent tale, is only the beginning of the ride. Wrap yourself in a memorable getaway form ordinary routine, by discovering the charming and luxurious interiors setting up this hotel.
Palazzo Petrvs is a true living painting from another era, in which the memory of the many Kings, Popes, and Patrician families who forged the Medieval hamlet of Orvieto bloom out. Walk amidst frescoes and antiques dotted around the palace, where secrets of past love stories reverberate faintly. Each step is a dialogue with the past, each room a verse of poetry. Write your own poem within this ambiance filled with memories and rich in charm and refinement.
With its majestic arches and echoes of the past, this place is a true romantic oasis, where time seems to stand still. Turn your stay into a true heaven-like experience, by embarking on a gastronomic journey like no other. The setting of the residence’s restaurant, Coro, is a 16th-century church, illuminated by flickering candles and enveloped in a mystical atmosphere. Once an oratory, this location now features remarkable restoration made by architect Giuliano Andrea Dell’Uva. After collapsing some years ago, the church was recovered at first thanks to the construction of an iron skeleton and then infused with new life.
Coro, the Italian term for ‘choir’, symbolizes a single chant consisting of multiple voices. Founders Frances(co) Perali and (Ro)nald Bukri conceived this project as the result of a collaboration among people, a community of ideas, a choir of voices precisely. Inserted in the spiritual enchantment of a deconsecrated church, Coro Restaurant redefines the world of cuisine by pursuing a sense of authenticity. Indulge in refined dishes, prepared with passion and dedication and finally served in such a beautiful location enhanced by the presence of tuff walls.
