Masterfully handcrafted by following typical Tuscan techniques from the late 16th century, this one-off sideboard reflects that vintage spirit through a rigorous silhouette and minute inlays. The whitened hazel inlays - standing out from a combination of lacquers that includes white and beige - include floral motifs coupled with wind roses on the two doors. Traglio Vismara
Lombardia, Italy | Painter
Born in Italy in 1955, Isabella Vismara studied art in Milan before moving to the United States for her artistic debut in a group exhibition at the Boston Fine Arts Museum in 1979. Her subsequent group exhibition - Gli AmiciPittori - was in 2002 at the Superstudio in Milan, achieving critical acclaim. Her signature painting technique, cold encaustic on wood, allows for a more textural effect than oil paint. Her Human Kind Visiting God (2014) in Robilant+Voena (London) and Anima Mundi (2016) at Sotheby's (Milan) are just a few of her successful solo exhibitions.Discover more
