This vase is directly inspired by the Egyptian canopic jars; it is an ironic and contemporary reinterpretation of an atavistic object, the tutelary deity of domestic quiet. The ibis was in fact a symbol of purity and order as it cleaned streams of reptiles and snakes. Made by hand and enameled with oxides and crystallines, the work becomes a precious and sculptural object.
