Conus Deep Blue Hand-Modelled Tuscan Ceramic Urn

The Conus takes its name and its form from the cone shell, a slender, tapering ceramic vessel with a dynamic spiral relief that runs its full height. Hand-shaped and hand-glazed in deep matte blue in Tuscany, in collaboration with Ceramiche Ceccarelli, a three-generation ceramic workshop. The blue lacquer has a depth and saturation that changes in quality with different light sources. Each piece shows the individual marks of the hand and the kiln, variations in glaze, surface texture, and form that cannot be standardised, an object as at home in a design-forward residential interior as in a hospitality setting.
