Dancing Oranges Wall Art

This piece, both a painting and a sculpture, is made from thousands and thousands of squares of wood. They were hand cut and then placed into a flowing structure to give the impression of endless movement. Upon this Hampel painted the orange tree, bursting into life, and in the gaps, flows the lifeblood which is painted gold. It is a time capsule. In this instant age, something that obviously takes so much work and time, is ever more important. It comes on a black frame.
