Laghi Small Round Yellow Serving Plate by Roberto Monte

Designed by Roberto Monte, this captivating serving plate was inspired by the depth and colors of lakes ("laghi") enclosed within land. The silhouette in hand-molded lava stone is adorned by hand at the center using lead-free yellow enamel. After the firing, the piece is submerged in castor oil and then washed several times to lose the excess oil, ensuring its water-repellent quality and giving it a smooth texture to the touch.
