This wall mirror is part of a numbered series inspired by the advertising mirrors commonly found in Italian bars and trattorias displaying trademark logos and popular symbols that have become in recent years an iconic object of decorative decor. The original golden wood frame is from the early 1900s and has not been restored on purpose to create a striking contrast with the modern image of skull and crossbones, a commonly used warning symbol of poisonous substances and danger.
