Mountain Altar Console by Lea Chen

Inspired by the altar table, the place of worship in Chinese homes or Buddhist temples, this minimalist console designed by Lea Chen symbolizes the harmonious balance of forms and materials. Crafted of glass by Venetian artisans, one leg of the semi-transparent curved console is cross-sectioned by a stylized mountain shape with intricately inlaid ancient wood, a traditional East Asian symbol of yin and yang often found in Shan Shui (Mountain Water) paintings.
