Puzzling San Marco N.7 Print

Part of the series The Stones of Venice - Revisiting San Marco Basilica, this print is conceived for an editorial project pairing contemporary artists with canonical literary works. Andrea Morucchio enters into dialogue with John Ruskin's The Stones of Venice, visually reinterpreting architectural elements of the Basilica di San Marco through the recomposition of thousands of fragments drawn from the Basilica's mosaic flooring, assembled into a work of layered complexity and quiet urgency. Printed on ultra-HD paper, acrylic glass and aluminum, it is a unique work, registered on the blockchain.
