Selene Fossil Oak Cabinet

The cabinet is made entirely of fossil oak; the wood used is between 2000 and 4000 years old. The colors are the original ones and we do not use any product that alters the shades that time has given to the wood. The door and the internal parts are hands painted with a special technique taken from the past: the egg tempera. A technique of the Italian fourteenth century handed down thanks to the "Book of Art" by Cennino Cennini 1370-1440. In a sort of abstract painting, different elements coexist, the fossil oak structure, the convex door, and the internal parts painted. Finally, the wooden disc positioned externally invades the space becoming a handle, backlit by a soft light appears as a silent celestial body, in an imaginary eclipse.
