Yellow Hippo Sculpture

Daniele Nannini conceived and handcrafted this sculpture as part of a series of animal pieces symbolizing elegance and power. The round volumes of the hippo are fashioned of white clay, set out to partially dry, hollowed out to a 1 cm-thickness, and then sanded to give a smooth surface. The piece, with its typical white shade, is finally fired in the kiln to give it the hard consistency typical of ceramic. A unique work of art to adorn a modern interior, this piece will be eye-catching in any room in the house.
