Marmot Sculpture

This lifelike sculpture captures an alpine marmot surveying its mountainous landscape. This piece was inspired by time spent in the Swiss alps amongst the flora and fauna, where Vincenzo observed this mammal in its natural habitat. Modeled in clay from these live studies and then cast in bronze following the traditional lost wax casting method in the Florentine foundry. The patina reflects the marmot's true colorings. This piece is part of a limited edition of 12 sculptures, each individually, signed, dated and numbered.
