Founded in 1923, NasonMoretti began crafting goblets and glasses that proudly graced prestigious and everyday tables alike. From the start, the company has brought the art of Venetian glassmaking into people's homes. What has changed in a century of history, and what values continue to define your philosophy?
NasonMoretti started out as a family endeavor: this aspect is vital for grasping the essence of the brand today; it ensures the continuity of tradition with a distinct emphasis on identity and personal taste. This trait has encouraged us to stay curious since the very beginning and explore beyond Murano productions to create ever-new products tailored for a global audience. Our unwavering focus has always been on discovering objects that embody elegance while prioritizing functionality — prestigious yet practical, suited for daily use. In the future, we aim to preserve and elevate our brand's identity not only by designing objects that resonate with contemporary needs but also by conveying our heritage and know-how through a diverse array of communication channels and tools.
In 1955, NasonMoretti won the prestigious Compasso d'Oro Award thanks to its innovative production methods and mastery of Murano glass. The brand has consistently distinguished itself by embodying an avant-garde culture that welcomes new influences and creative crossovers. How is this avant-garde spirit manifested in the present day?
Today’s avant-garde is rooted in our history. The starting point was the visionary spirit of the first generation, which in the 1920s and 1940s paved the way for the company to inherit a rich legacy of shapes and prototypes that remain relevant and inspiring to this day.

Each signed NasonMoretti piece embodies the timeless Venetian craftsmanship and centuries-old expertise of Murano masters; in fact, the new Archive Collection is a stunning testament to this legacy. Tell us more about this collection.
The project emerged during the company’s centenary celebrations, a deep dive into the past that revived invaluable pieces that we could not let go of. Rather than simply replicating them, we reimagined these treasures, infusing them with new life through color. This journey spans from the 1930s archives, through the 1960s, and into the 1980s. The archive serves as a vital source of exchange and inspiration. By studying original drawings and prototypes, we forge today’s collaborations — acting as both a blueprint for building up and preserving our brand’s identity as well as a lasting legacy for master craftsmen and the next generation of designers.
