A Colorful Escape in the Heart of Sicily: Braccialieri

Braccialieri is a new boutique resort nestled in the sun-drenched hills of southeastern Sicily, where fashion designer Alessandro Enriquez brings his vibrant vision to life. Located in the heart of the Val di Noto, this family-owned property blends Sicilian heritage with playful, design-forward interiors. It’s a place where tradition meets creativity, inviting guests to slow down, connect with nature, and experience Sicily through the lens of contemporary design.

Tucked into the golden hills of southeastern Sicily, a new chapter in Mediterranean hospitality has unfolded. Braccialieri, a boutique resort in the heart of the Val di Noto, is redefining luxury as a celebration of slow living, authenticity, and design-driven storytelling. At once rooted in tradition and delightfully eclectic, this idyllic destination promises an immersive escape for the culturally curious traveler.

The project was born from the meeting between the Cancemi family's desire for authentic hospitality and fashion designer Alessandro Enriquez's unmistakable imagination, who curated the entire concept of the place: a colourful and elegant ode to his homeland. Braccialieri is not just a resort; it is a vibrant homage to Sicily’s past and its bold, joyful present.

Set among centuries-old olive trees, the property comprises six Eco Villas and three luxury suites, each with sweeping views of the Val di Noto’s sun-drenched landscape. The villas and the suites, named after plants, elements and colours that symbolise Sicily and embody the philosophy of the project, blend seamlessly into the natural surroundings, showcasing a sustainability-first approach to design.

Enriquez’s signature aesthetic—narrative, saturated with color, and infused with humor—runs through every corner of the resort. Interiors feature iconic pieces from brands such as Cassina and Cappellini, thoughtfully curated to create a sense of joyful sophistication. Lighting casts a warm, cinematic glow that transforms each space into a sensorial experience.

I wanted to involve artisans because, thanks to them, this beautiful place has a sense of authenticity! From Sicilian wicker weavers to master glassmakers. This is my first interior design project, and I wanted to pay tribute to Italy through my vision

The Braccialieri Café is enveloped in wallpaper from the Enriquezland collection: a whimsical collaboration with Jannelli & Volpi that features traditional Sicilian pastries in pop-art fashion. Just steps away, the restored winery, Dodici Zappe, serves as the beating heart of the property. Here, guests enjoy dishes that highlight local, organic ingredients.

At Braccialieri, every element is a love letter to Sicily: the chequered red-and-white tiles in the swimming pool with the “Don’t forget to love!” motto engraved on it, and sun loungers in colorful geranium print invite guests to linger in the moment.
