In the artisan heart of the Eternal City, amid lively boutiques and celebrated cultural landmarks, Corinthia Rome transforms the former headquarters of the Bank of Italy into a boutique residence of convivial, romantic charm. An enclave where the grandeur of the past meets a contemporary spirit, and every space tells the story of Rome's art.

In the historic heart of Rome, Corinthia Rome opens the doors of a majestic neoclassical palazzo in Piazza del Parlamento. Once the historic headquarters of the Bank of Italy, the building designed by Pio and Marcello Piacentini and built between 1913 and 1921 is reborn as a noble Roman residence, where monumental architecture meets the intimate spirit of boutique hospitality.

Guided by the GA Design studio, the restoration project brings mosaics, stuccoes, cornices, painted ceilings and marble details back to light. The studio's work is measured above all in its ability to orchestrate detail: textures that layer without ever saturating, palettes that oscillate between warm neutrals and deeper accents, materials that render a controlled tactility.

The 60 rooms, 21 of them suites, are conceived as private residences: high ceilings, large windows, natural light and views over the rooftops of Rome or the inner courtyard. Restored architectural elements are answered by contemporary furnishings, in a balance between historical memory and modern comfort.
The symbolic heart is the Theodoli Heritage Suite, the former Council Chamber, where the solemnity of the historic palazzo meets the intimacy of a private home. Original frescoes and decorated 1920s ceilings rise above a spacious salon with a dining area, lounge zone and an elegant glossy black piano, the scenic focal point of the space.

Corinthia's grand boutique philosophy lives in the grandeur of the palazzo and in a lively social life, orchestrated by Carlo Cracco at his Roman debut. At Viride, overlooking the inner garden, contemporary Italian cuisine engages in dialogue with the seasons and exceptional ingredients; the Piazzetta recalls the Roman tradition of cordial, convivial hospitality; the Ocra Bar, in its warm nocturnal tones, accompanies aperitivi and evenings that run late.

Where the bank's vault once guarded financial reserves, today it protects a sense of personal time. Inspired by the ritual of Roman baths, the Corinthia Spa is an intimate, subterranean space, shaped by water, mineral stone and soft light: a quiet counterpoint to the city unfolding above.
