Hotel Indigo Venice Sant'Elena

In the quaint Sant’Elena neighborhood of Venice, among beautiful canals and gondolas, stands the new Hotel Indigo, a peaceful sanctuary reflective of its former heritage, charm, and vitality. Explore the stylish interiors, local tastes and warm hospitality of Hotel Indigo that welcomes guests to discover an offbeat Venetian experience.

Sant’Elena is an intriguing neighborhood of Venice. Located on the eastern tip, a short distance from the historic center, this is an enchanting place away from immense tourism and chaos and also a global hub for modern art and culture, due to the proximity to the Venice International Film FestivalVenice Biennale and the picturesque islands of Murano and Burano.

Located in a quaint street of the Sant’Elena quarter, you are greeted by a warm yellow façade of the newly opened Hotel Indigo Venice- Sant'Elena, by the Intercontinental Hotels Group. This beautiful boutique hotel harmoniously combines authentic local experiences, modern aesthetics and unparalleled standard of hospitality.

The elegant 75 room Hotel Indigo Venice - Sant'Elena is set on a former monastery from the 1930s, composed of two wings joined in the center of the property by a former chapel. The tranquil premises of the hotel host an embellished waiting area, the Savor Restaurant, and a private garden where guests can sit and enjoy a refreshing cocktail and relax after a day of exploring.

Step inside Hotel indigo Venice- Sant'Elena, and you discover the art deco flair. The interiors of Hotel Indigo Venice are an amalgam of the structure’s original characteristics and oriental influences inspired by Venetian traditions and history, with touches of modern elements. Beautiful Murano glass lanterns by Contardi, velvet pillows paired with leather seating, deep wood paneling on the walls and the emerald green marble bar top recreates the atmosphere of a stroll through Venice at night.

Architect Manuela Mannino of the London based firm- The Hickson Design partnership, combined her meticulous research to narrate the stylistic visions through furnishings by local artisans.

“The hotel is the perfect example of how Hotel Indigo draws inspiration from the local neighborhood, bringing to life the historical importance of the building through design while also providing the ideal getaway from the busyness of Venice,” said Marco Costa, Hotel Manager of Hotel Indigo Venice – Sant’Elena.

Inspired by its artistic neighborhood that hosts The Biennale, each room and suite has its own distinctive aesthetics with curated design details. The King Suite and the Duplex suite bask in natural light, ideal for unwinding and stretching out after a day of discovering the beautiful city. The suites offer extraordinary comfort and style; appointed with airy living spaces, large sofa, plush bed and delightful antique furnishings such as antique rotary dial telephones, brass lamps. The spa-like bathroom leave guests refreshed and invigorated.

The Savor Restaurant is Hotel Indigo’s signature restaurant with a vibrant ambiance reminiscent of the Italian dolce vita. Guests are enveloped in stylish décor: elegant glass blow chandeliers by Siru, decorative pillows, and plates by Les Ottomans. The chic surroundings of the restaurant are ideal for lingering over a glass of wine and cicchetti or settling down to a full evening meal.

In an off beaten track of Venice, Indigo Hotel Sant’Elena’s vibrant and charming décor and comfortable stay turn into a truly special treat.
