Rural Paradise: La Pescaia Resort

Discover La Pescaia Resort, an elegant nineteenth-century villa-farm nestled in the heart of the beautiful Maremma in Tuscany. This stunning location is a paradise protected by over six thousand ancient olive trees, pristine forests and hidden paths for those who love walking or horse riding.

A rural paradise, once abandoned and neglected, until in 2015 sisters Beatrice and Margherita Ramella, acquired La Pescaia to restore the warm soul and the unique beauty of this stunning place. Nestled in the heart of Maremma in Tuscany, at the base of luxuriant hills and on the ancient road that connects the city of Siena to Rome, La Pescaia Resort is a piece of authentic rural patrician history brought back to life, through a conservative restoration. An elegant nineteenth-century villa and farm, one of the few remaining in the area, La Pescaia is surrounded by over six thousand ancient olive trees, pristine forests and hidden paths for those who love walking or horse riding. The gardens of the villa are a green oasis of tranquility, dominated by a majestic secular Lebanese cedar tree that infuses serenity and helps guests reconnect with the surrounding nature.

The interiors, simple yet elegant, are characterized by large spaces and are tastefully furnished with vintage furniture and decorative pieces. The colors used are relaxing and enhance the natural materials used to decorate the rooms that overlook the quiet and flourishing landscape. All around, green and luxuriant gardens and a splendid pool located by the ancient "pescaia" tanks, that were once used to collect water. In spring and summer, guests can enjoy a rich breakfast buffet with organic and local products under the pergola of the large terrace and in the evening enjoy an "aperitivo" or a glass of wine.

La Pescaia manages an important horsepower, both in the show jumping and in dressage, but it is also ideal for golf enthusiasts. Guests can comfortably reach the Argentario Golf Club, with its 18 panoramic holes for a total of 6,218 meters of course.

The Resort is located in a strategic position to visit some of the most evocative places of the Tuscan Maremma: fascinating villages like Pitigliano, entirely built in tuff; unique places such as the Abbazia di San Galgano and the hot springs of Bagno Vignoni and Saturnia are within easy reach.
