Alicudi Vase by Ugo La Pietra
Description
Whether to complement a console or accent a side table, this unique vase will be the focus of any room. Designed by Ugo La Pietra, inspired by the ancient pottery produced in the Mediterranean basin, and named after one of the eight islands of the Sicilian volcanic archipelago, it was crafted and painted by hand by Florentine artist Sandro Da Boit. The shape is reminiscent of a wine pourer with a narrow, beaked spout, a cylindrical neck, and two oversized round handles. This glossy, white-glazed ceramic vessel is decorated with a charming depiction of a dwelling framed by two palms.
