The Arazzi Regina is a modern reinterpretation of the ancient tapestry ("arazzo" in Italian) composed of DeErosion-finished brass tiles ‎arranged into a stylized representation of a queen's portrait. It belongs to the 2020 DeFrame series of panels that exemplify De Castelli's ability to transcend the traditional boundaries of interior design decoration through an original and exclusive exploration of metal's artistic expression. Through inlays, controlled erosion, and oxidations the metal is transformed into an abstract painting of great aesthetic allure.
