Ballerina Red Sculpture

Ballerina Red Sculpture - Agnese Parronchi

This stunning sculpture was directly inspired by one of the most renowned paintings by Fortunato Depero entitled Bellerina Negra, here rendered in a three-dimensional version in white and red. The dancer's dynamism, an iconic trait of the aesthetic of Futuristic art, is rendered in the two added legs and in the circular pose of the arms. Entirely made of clay that was poured in a gypsum mold and then fired twice, this piece has a glass finish.
