Bardana and Blue Flowers Soup Plate

Bardana and Blue Flowers Soup Plate - Chiara Terraneo

Part of the Blue Bestiary collection, this soup plate will imbue with unique elegance an eclectic interior and can be combined with the others in the same series for a cohesive look and impressive effect. Its decoration was hand painted over the glazed surface of the piece and depicts using blue, black, and light grey colors mysterious flowers glowing under the light of the moon. Inspired by the Dolomites, J.L. Borges' "The Book of Imaginary Beings," and by a manuscript published probably in Venice in 1350-1375 and concerning herbs, the artist shares her private universe.
