The design of this striking box was created by Bottega Ghianda around 1890 for the rectory of the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano, an organization established to supervise the construction of the Cathedral of Milan. Entirely made of solid wood with a foldable, curved lid, this piece features an interior divided into adjustable compartments, to easily store small objects to suit the owner's desires and needs.
